Our Projects

Digiboard

Developed at Tokanui with staff and management, the Digiboard project aims to replace the farm whiteboard with a touch enabled software solution. It makes sense of the daily happenings on farm and records information that would otherwise be lost, summarising it and helping with reporting requirements. Its designed for those doing the job – made for fat fingers and the technology challenged, and able to be used without an internet connection if required. The internet version will interact with mobile devices, ensuring everyone has access to the information they need on a daily basis. It currently includes:
The next phase of development will be working with other industries where the central whiteboard is the focus for managing multiple staff, jobs and locations.

Informational Farms Apps

We have two apps currently available on the Google Play Store. The first, which is free to download, is Heat Detection in Dairy Cows - a reminder of the observational skills needed for determining if your dairy cow is ready for artificial insemination and associated actions. The second, Maintaining Milk Quality in Dairy Herds, reminds you of the key skills needed to maintain milk quality on a New Zealand dairy farm, and helps guide you to a solution when quality slips. Both are useful for those new to dairy farming, or those needing a reminder, and work without an internet connection once downloaded.
